The River Tamar
The River Tamar is fifty miles long and is a natural boundary between Devon and Cornwall. The Tamar is where Devon ends and Cornwall begins, or if you are Cornish, where Cornwall ends and the rest of the World begins!
The waterway provides a natural county boundary, starting just four miles short of Bude on the north Cornwall coast and flowing south, reaching the sea at the famous Plymouth Sound in south west Devon. At the estuary, the Tamar merges with the rivers Tavy, Plym and Lynher, and together these rivers are a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So, if you're bringing a non-golfer along with you, there are few better places to stay than the South West!
